Back in the days of my art classes, I LOVED to use watercolor paint. It was so relaxing to sit with my paints and my brush and just go for it.
Last week I pulled out some watercolors and painted a pretty watercolor butterfly out of watercolor paper that I die cut using a Tim Holtz Sizzix die that I love. I ended up making a gift card holder out of the butterfly glued to a mini envelope.
The finished result is so pretty and girly (perfectg for my sweet little daughter’s birthday!), and I shared the whole watercolor butterfly tutorial on the Sizzix blog on Sunday. It looks really hard and complicated, but there is an easy trick to adding all the details on the wings that I shared in the post.
I’d love for you to stop by HERE to see the project and tell me what you think!
P.S. My kids started school today and I can’t believe how silent the house is. Or how clean it’s staying… 😉
