Do you hae a certain meal that you usually order when you got out? A grilled chicken sandwich is one of my staples that I usually go back to when we go out to eat. I am a chicken girl through and through, and love all the variations of grilled chicken sandwiches that are out there!
Today I’m sharing with you a delicious Grilled Chicken Jalapeño Burger with Guacamole that you can make at home! This sandwich has such great flavors, and has a bit of a kick too.
The flavor combination of jalapeños, guacamole, and a homemade chipotle mayonnaise, when combined with the grilled chicken and all the fixings, is definitely worth making at home. SO yummy!
Here’s how you can get these same delicious flavors when grilling with your family and friends….
Grilled Chicken Jalapeño Burger with Guacamole
- Chicken Breasts
- Hamburger buns
- La Morena Whole Jalapeños
- Lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices (optional)
- Chipotle mayonnaise (see below for recipe)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1-2 Tbsp. La Morena Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
- 1/4 lime
Step 1. Grill the boneless skinless chicken breasts.
Step 2. While the chicken is grilling, make the chipotle mayonnaise by combining 1/2 cup mayonnaise with 1-2 Tbsp. La Morena Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce.
If you use one Tbsp. the mayo will be milder, if you use two the mayo will be spicier, so add to your preference. You can always start with less and add more for more spice! Cut a lime into quarters, and squeeze one of the quarters into your chipotle mayonnaise. Stir, then place in the refrigerator.
Step 3. When the chicken is fully cooked, place one chicken breast on each bun. Add guacamole, your homemade chipotle mayonnaise, a La Morena jalapeño sliced lengthwise into two pieces.
Add any other toppings that you would like, such as lettuce, a tomato, red onion, cheese, etc.
Enjoy! I LOVE my new grilled chicken jalapeño burger with guacamole creation, and have already made them twice in the last week!
These sandwiches are a great way to mix up typical barbecue food and turn it in to something special by giving it a bit of authentic Latin flair.
Both the chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and the whole jalapeños were made by La Morena, and I found them in the Hispanic aisle at Walmart.
If you need to liven up your dinners, give these grilled chicken jalapeño burgers with guacamole a try!
