Today I’ve got a yummy fall snack mix recipe that I’m excited to share with you!
My kids come home from school absolutely starving every day, and if I don’t have a snack ready and waiting for them, they get really grumpy. I recently came up with this easy fall trail mix to give them as an afterschool snack.
I make a big batch of this fall snack mix in just a few minutes, put it in a plastic container with a lid, and then get some ready for when the kids come home. It’s such an easy way to feed their afterschool hunger!
Fall Snack Mix Recipe
- 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios Cereal
- 3 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
- 1 cup roasted peanuts
- 1 bag microwave popcorn (I used cinnamon flavored- yum!)
- 8 oz. candy corn
- 8 oz. fall autumn mix (candy corn, pumpkins, etc.)
- 8 oz. peanut butter candies
Microwave the popcorn, following the manufacturer’s directions. Pour the popcorn in a bowl and let cool before adding the other ingredients.
Once the popcorn is cool, add all of the ingredients and stir. Store in a plastic container with a lid or seal it up in a large ziplock bag.
Either way, it won’t last long!
I bought all of these ingredients at Albertson’s, and the Honey Nut Cheerios and other select General Mills products are part of their huge Stock Up Sale, going on now through October 13th.
This is a great time for our big family to stock up and save money!
Which is extremely helpful if your family eats as much cereal as we do. 😉
