One of the many reasons I love living in San Diego is because of the amazing things there are to do here. Our family has had passes to the San Diego Zoo for years now since we live nearby, and it’s one of our favorite places to go!
From watching at the beautiful tigers, to marveling at the orangutans gazing back at us, to laughing at the playful interactions between the otters and the monkeys, a trip to the San Diego Zoo always brings a smile to our faces.
I love that the zoo is more than a zoo. Their whole goal is to help protect wildlife, end extinction, and create life-long relationships for people with wild animals.
Every summer the Nighttime Zoo is something that we look forward to. The zoo stays open later so we have longer to enjoy the animals, there’s live music, special shows, and more! It’s the perfect time to enjoy the zoo, and those cooler evening temperatures are perfect for our adventure at the zoo.
Because the zoo turns 10o this year, it’s an even more special place to be! Visitors can enjoy a new show at the Wegeforth Bowl, two new film experiences, and displays on Centennial Plaza marking the history of our fabulous zoo.
Happy birthday to our fabulous San Diego Zoo!
If you haven’t been yet, you really should visit, especially this summer during the Nighttime Zoo and Centennial Celebration. Be sure to learn more about the San Diego Zoo and see all of the fun activities taking place.
Your kids will think you’re the best for taking them- mine sure do! 😉
