Happy Friday! After blogging for over four years, I’m so excited to share with you my first ever Christmas home tour. Today I’ll be sharing my Christmas living room.
Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. I treasure each of our family’s Christmas decorations, and have such wonderful memories associated with each piece that we decorate with year after year, along with a few new favorites we added this year.
Thanks Balsam Hill for sponsoring my Christmas living room tour. All opinions are my own.
Our Christmas tree has our favorite collections of ornaments on them, ranging from imported hand-carved wood Santa faces to German glass glittered snowflakes to bottlebrush animals.
We go on a shopping trip every year where each child gets to pick out an ornament for the tree. It’s become one of our favorite traditions! You can see more of our Christmas tree and ornaments at our tree trimming party.
Next to our Christmas tree is gorgeous wintry woodlands potted foliage from Balsam Hill.
They make the most beautiful and realistic greenery, trees, and so much more. It looks just perfect in the urn it came in.
Santa also resides near the tree in his sled filled with toys. I’ve collected a handful of realistic Santas over the years and the kids look forward to pulling them out every year.
A personalized Santa bag is home to presents for good girls and boys, along with a wooden vintage-style Santa sled.
Our fireplace is one of my favorite areas of the room. Last year this fireplace was on old, outdated brick mess. We decided to redo it ourselves, and I’m now in love with our fireplace! It’s so cozy and inviting. I’ll be sharing exactly how we did it soon, so stay tuned for all the details and DIY.
We did the rock ourselves, cut and stained a large piece of wood for our mantle, and added walnut above the wall to the ceiling for added texture. I love shiplap as much as Joanna (from HGTV’s Fixer Upper), and if it were up to me, I’d have shiplap on every single wall in our home.
All six of our stockings hang from the mantle while our two large nutcrackers keep guard.
A gorgeous cypress potted foliage from Balsam Hill lies at the end of our couch, along with another Santa.
I found a burlap container that fits the foliage perfectly, and I love the natural feel and color it gives the room. I also comes with lights with three different settings.
A holly berry foliage wreath hangs on our zinc mirror behind toy shop Santa. He’s making toys in his Christmas workshop, and has a workbench filled with stockings, trains, and more.
Two matching frosted holly berry foliage wreaths hang perfectly on our hutch cabinets. I love that these wreaths have lights and can be set on a timer so I don’t forget to turn them off.
I hope you enjoyed my Christmas living room tour!
There will be more room tours to come, as we have been working very hard going room to room updating and perfecting each room so it’s just right for our family.
Wish I could hand you a cookie and a glass of milk through the screen. It’s so cozy over here.
You can find me in this room nightly, soaking in all the Christmas warmth with a cozy blanket and a good book or a Christmas movie. Last night we watched White Christmas, and I’m thinking tonight is a Home Alone kind of night.
Right now you can enter to win one of 12 Balsam Hill $150 gift cards. Wouldn’t you love to win? They have so many gorgeous things to choose from.
You can also follow Balsam Hill on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest for more inspiration.
