Last week when I was at the World Market in L.A. to meet actor Gilles Marini and celebrate their Bastille Day kick off, I saw some adorable preppy wine bottle bow ties. I don’t drink wine, but instantly thought that these would make adorable and easy bow ties for my sons, and pretty hair bows for my girls.
But I couldn’t decide which to go with- bow ties or hair bows? The decision was way too difficult for me to answer, so I went with BOTH!
Your son can wear his cute little bow tie to church on Sunday, and then you can put that same bow in your daughter’s hair the very next day!! Cool, right?
And did I mention that there is NO sewing involved? Even better!
Supplies:
- Wine bottle bow ties (I bought mine at World Market- $4.99 for two bows)
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Bobby pins
Directions:
So easy, right?! They only take about 5 minutes to make.
I used a bobby pin to secure the bow because I wanted to go back and forth between my kids using it as a bow tie and a hair bow. You could also use an alligator hair clip for both. OR if you just wanted to make a bow tie, you could buy bow tie clips, use clip on earrings bases, or sew the bow tie onto a piece of elastic. So many options!
I can’t wait to show off this little guy in one of his new bow ties on Sunday at church. All the little ladies had better watch out for this heart breaker 😉
And just for fun, here are some of the photo shoot bloopers featuring my little guy… they were just way too cute to pass up!!
