Happy Sunday! I’m usually not a weekend poster, but today I’m part of a fun Halloween popcorn box blog hop + an awesome giveaway!
The fabulous designer Laura Kelly sent a group of her creative blogger buddies a cardboard popcorn box with the instructions to decorate it for Halloween however we would like. Fun, right?! I got to work and here’s what I came up with…
I love the black and white stripes for Halloween, as well as the Halloween die cuts I used. Here’s how you can make your own…
- Popcorn box
- 12″ x 12″ Halloween patterned paper
- DCWV spider web die cut
- Sizzix Big Shot die cut machine
- Sizzix Gothic Boo die
- Sizzix Candlelight Fright die
- Black card stock
Step 1. Trace two sides at a time of the flat popcorn box. Cut out the two pieces, and glue them onto the popcorn box. Assemble the popcorn box.
Step 2. Use a Big Shot die cutting machine and the two Sizzix dies in the supply list to die cut a black spider and the black number 31.
Step 3. Glue the spider web die down to the middle of the box. Glue the number 31 down over the middle of the web. Cut off most of the spider web attached to the spider, leaving just a short piece. Glue the spider down so that it looks like it is hanging from the top of the box.
Now all you have to do is pop up some delicious popcorn and get eating! 😉
