Ever since my son went to Boy Scout Camp recently and was able to shoot a BB gun for the first time, he has been begging for a BB gun of his own. I knew it would be one of those cool Christmas presents that he would always remember if I got him one.
He and his big sister lucked out, because they both got a Daisy BB gun a little bit early this year, which means that they will have more time to use it!
I went to Walmart and bought my son the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun, and my daughter the Daisy PINK Carbine BB gun.
I also picked up some Daisy goggles, as well as some BBs for them to shoot with. I surprised them after school one day with them, and they couldn’t believe they were for them!
I love the fact that they make a pink BB gun, along with pink safety glasses, for the girls. So cute!
My favorite part about my son’s BB gun is the wood stock with the Red Ryder logo stained on it. I’m all about tried and true classics, and this BB gun is definitely a classic, having been around for decades. Daisy’s educational curriculum has been around since 1948.
To make shooting their BB guns even more exciting for my kids, I created some BB gun targets printable for them to shoot, and am offering them to you for FREE, too! Just click on the following link below to download and print!

I filled up some 2-L plastic soda bottles with sand, and taped the printed targets onto the bottles, one per bottle. Then we placed the targets at a safe distance, and practiced shooting.
The better the kids got, the further we pushed back the targets. The kids had a ton of fun shooting at the robot, the peppermint candy, and the ornament. I designed the printables so that there is a faint target on each one so the kids can practice their aim, and then check the print when they’re done shooting to see how well they did.
Happy gifting!
