It seems these days that Thanksgiving gets a little lost in between Halloween and Christmas, doesn’t it? I wanted my kids to learn to be grateful for what they have, and to see all of the wonderful things that they are grateful for in their lives.

To do this, we created a Thanksgiving cornucopia centerpiece that includes something that each person is grateful for. This pretty reminder is a great way for us to remember to be grateful!
To make this centerpiece, I bought a cornucopia at my local craft store. I filled it with small pumpkins, gourds, and some decorative wheat. I used my die cut machine to cut out some paper leaves in various fall colors.

BIC Mark-It™ permanent markers come in 44 vibrant colors, and are low odor and acid free, so I don’t have to worry about them fading, or not having the right color for my projects, which I love!
We tucked the colorful leaves into the cornucopia, as a wonderful reminder this season of all that we have. I also made up some extra leaves, so that then we think of something else that we are grateful for, we can write it down, and keep adding it to the centerpiece. I would love to fill it all up with thankful leaves!
Enjoy!
