We’re counting down the days until Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast movie, and what better way to celebrate than with a Beauty and the Beast tea party? Planning a party doesn’t have to be overwhelming or expensive, and today I want to how to easily create a beautiful Beauty and the Beast party that your guests will love!
Because all little princesses love tea parties, and a teacup and teapot are main characters in the movie, a Belle-themed tea party is a great way to celebrate.
Beauty and the Beast Party Table Decorations
I started with a long table, then added a yellow tablecloth to the top that I bought for another party a few years ago. A pretty pink ruffle fabric was hung for the backdrop.
Since Belle loves to read, I created a super simple table runner made from ripped book pages. It was so easy!
I went to one of the dollar stores and bought a book, then ripped out a handful of pages. I used my trusty glue gun to add a few dots of glue to each page, then randomly stacked the pages to create a lovely table runner that any avid reader would appreciate!
Because Lumiere is such a great character and friend to Belle, I wanted to represent him on the table somehow. I found two black candelabras that World Market sells every year at Halloween and that I’ve used for several Halloween parties. I knew they’d be perfect in gold!
I spray painted them, added white candles, and placed them both on the table.
Extra teacups with a thin gold-lined rim were stacked at each end of the table.

Each place setting had a doily, a saucer, small silverware, and a tea cup on it with a lovely fragrant rose inside. Since a rose was another important part of Belle’s story in Beauty and the Beast, they were a beautiful and meaningful addition to the party.
Rose petals were scattered down the middle of the table.
Roses were also bunched together in small dishes to add color and beauty. The stem was cut off a few of the roses and they were a pretty addition to the food.
I used the most beautiful roses from VivaRoses! They were absolutely gorgeous and have such a wonderful story behind them, which you can read on their website. Hint… it’s the perfect story for Valentine’s Day!
If you need roses for ANY occasion (including upcoming Valentine’s Day), these roses WON’T disappoint.
Beauty and the Beast Party Food
In the center of the table was a large three-tier serving platter with gold detail that I have used at my Downton Abbey tea parties.
It’s such a pretty was to serve up sweets!
On the top tier colorful French macaroons were served, which is fitting since Beauty and the Beast takes place in France.
The second tier contained strawberry wafer cookies, while the bottom tier held strawberry shortcakes.
Because the party was for younger girls, lemonade was served instead of tea. Pinkies up!
I just love how this Beauty and the Beast party turned out. It’s simple, yet so beautiful and elegant. It’s also easy for you to reproduce at home!
Colorful Roses for Every Occasion
The roses from VivaRoses really made the party come to life, and added so much beauty and color to the table.
My roses were delivered in a semi-gloss black box with the VivaRoses logo printed on the outside, and a pink striped inside that’s similar to a Victoria’s Secret pattern.
Inside the box, they’re separated in rows for safe transporting, which kept them nice and fresh on their journey to my doorstep.
If you love these roses, you’re in luck! Right now you can save 20% on their NEW Signature Collection just in time for Valentine’s Day! Use Code: VIVAVDAY. The offer is valid through February 13th.
I hope you enjoyed our Beauty and the Beast tea party! Are you as excited as are for the new Disney movie coming soon?
