I’m excited to partner with Oriental Trading Company to create our Black and White Halloween Party! All ideas an opinions are always 100% my own.
While I love all of the warm colors of fall and the bright orange of pumpkins and Halloween (like at our haunted forest Halloween party), sometimes it’s good to focus on just one or two colors to keep it simple. A black and white palette for a Halloween party is a great way to add some spookiness and a Gothic feel to your next Halloween party!
A black and white Halloween party is pretty easy to dream up because you get to eliminate a lot of choices. It makes shopping and planning much easier if you can only buy things in just black and white.
For the backdrop, I used some black and white wrapping paper that I bought last year for cheap after Halloween. I used glue dots to adhere the paper to the wall, which worked perfectly. I also used glue dots to hang my BOO glitter Halloween letters that I made and shared with you a few years ago.
My favorite part of the table are the gorgeous black and white tissue hanging fans from Oriental Trading Company. Small, medium, and large fans frame the black and white striped paper and add more visual interest.
If you’ve never ordered from Oriental Trading Company, you’ve got to check them out. They’ve got an unbelievable amount of Halloween party supplies, decorations, Halloween costumes, and so much more for every holiday and occasion!
The large black urn that I decorate my house with every year for Halloween held the black and white swirl pops perfectly. I put a styrofoam ball in the empty urn, pressed the swirl pops sticks inside, then covered the styrofoam up with moss. The urn went on top of a black cake plate, along with more moss. Simple and easy!
Two real white pumpkins were placed in the smaller urns, along with some spider pumpkin push-ins.
These spiders are awesome because they have a long spike in the back and you just press them into your pumpkins for instant gratification. Some of the extra spiders also went into the moss for extra creepiness.
I pulled some of my skeletons out of the closet (haha) for our black and white Halloween party.
At their feet are sweet little black twisty mini pops with black and white stripes inside small black cauldrons. This gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “trick or treat, smell my feet…” doesn’t it?
Cute little mini black treat boxes filled with candy make the perfect Halloween party favors. I added some Halloween phrases to the front, but they’re easy to customize however you would like!
These black and white free printable Halloween cupcake toppers would work great for this party, as would these free printable Halloween flags and tags and these free Halloween party invitation printables. Don’t ever say I didn’t give you anything. 😉
I hope you enjoyed our black and white Halloween party! I LOVE this time of year and am hoping it goes by slowly so I can take it all in and enjoy it with those I love.
What’s your favorite thing to do this time of year? Halloween parties, trips to the pumpkin patch, snuggling with the family and watching Ichabod Crane and old Disney Halloween cartoons, making caramel apples, and trick or treating with the kiddos are at the top of my list. We use this fall activities bucket list punch card to make sure we don’t miss anything!
