I’m really excited to share a tasty treat with you today- Black and White Cocoa Pebbles Cookies! We all know that Cocoa Pebbles cereal is delicious for breakfast, but did you know that it makes for some pretty tasty cookies too?
When you combine sugar cookies with two different kinds of chocolate and Cocoa Pebbles cereal, pure magic happens. Just follow along below for the fun recipe!
Black and White Cocoa Pebbles Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- Chocolate and white chocolate almond bark or chocolate melts
- Cocoa Pebbles cereal
Directions:
Step 1. Mix the butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in the eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 2. Cover the dough and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. When ready to bake the cookies, preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Step 3. Roll the dough out to about 1/4″ thick, then use a round cookie or biscuit cutter to cut out circles. Place cookies on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
To keep the cookies from puffing up too much in the oven, I place them in the freezer on the cookie sheet for a few minutes. I’ve found that this helps the cookies to keep their shape. It’s optional, but it’s worked very well for me!
Step 4. Place the cookie sheet in the oven. Keep a good eye on the cookies as they bake. Remove once they look set but before they have turned golden. Let cookies cool completely.
Step 5. Follow the directions on your white chocolate package to melt the chocolate. I like to use an electric chocolate melter because it keeps the chocolate at the perfect temperature.
Dip half the cookie into the white chocolate, gently shaking the cookie to remove the excess chocolate. Place on a piece of parchment paper to allow the white chocolate to harden.
Step 6. Melt the brown chocolate, then dip half of the cookie into the chocolate so that it overlaps part of the white chocolate on the cookie, but still leaves a space on the cookie without any chocolate for easy grabbing and eating. 😉
Step 7. Sprinkle Cocoa Pebbles cereal over the brown chocolate portion of the cookie after dipping. Let the chocolate cool. Repeat for each cookie.
Aren’t they pretty? I think these Cocoa Pebbles cookies are so bold and fun!
Even though they’re coated in yummy chocolate and Cocoa Pebbles, it’s easy to grab them because they have that little spot without chocolate that is just sugar cookie.
We couldn’t wait to get our hands on these tasty cookies- it was hard being patient while the chocolate cooled, that’s for sure!
The sugar cookies were soft and delicious, and the two flavors of chocolate, as well as the Cocoa Pebbles, gave the cookies a nice texture and great flavor.
Next time you’re craving something sweet, or need to bring a treat somewhere, be sure to give the Cocoa Pebbles cookies a try! They’re a great way to add a little playfulness and fun to your life.
