Sometimes the stars align and everything just works. This lovely boho party was one of those times, and I’m so thrilled to be sharing it with you!
I love the bohemian, natural style, and with spring in full bloom I knew it was the perfect time for a boho party.
I gathered together some beautiful flowers, our favorite teepee, some lace, a few sweet treats, and some fire logs for an afternoon and evening out in the fresh air.
I’ll share all the details of our amazing afternoon with you, and hopefully inspire you to get outside and create your own boho party with your loved ones and friends.
Boho Party Decorations
I envisioned the party table to be soft, feminine, and natural, so I used some pretty white lace to cover the table.
The lace is actually a lace panel we just bought for the girls’ room but haven’t hung up yet.
My husband’s uncle is a wood turner and makes amazing wood bowls, vases, boxes.
He cut me a few large wood rounds and wood slices, and I used one of them on the center of this table.
It was perfect for holding a large white cake!
The gold boxes are sweet party favors that I made.
Can you believe the detail on those pretty paper flowers?
I’ll be sharing the tutorial for the flowers soon on the Sizzix blog, so stay tuned for how to make them.
The flowers came from a kit and you just have to pull the pieces out and assemble.
No cutting machine required!
Boho Party Tepee
An amazing teepee is a necessity for a bohemian party, so I set up our tepee that we ordered from Minted.
It’s absolutely beautiful, comes in different colors and patterns, and is a breeze to set up and take down.
I can’t express how much I love it!
I have quite the collection of flowers, so I trimmed some of my favorite flowers down in light pink, white, yellow, blush, and bright pink.
I then used some wire to attach the flowers together, along with some green leaves and vines.
I followed the general shape of the top of the teepee, then wired the flowers to the top.
Aren’t they stunning?!
They definitely add some gorgeous color and softness to the teepee, and were the color inspiration for the rest of the party.
Inside the teepee I placed my fur blanket and some colorful throw pillows.
I wanted the bohemian teepee to be an inviting, comfortable, and cozy space.
Outside the teepee is a framed chalkboard and more gorgeous matching flowers on a wood crate.
They make the perfect entrance to the teepee!
Boho Party Food
At the center of the party table was the pretty cake.
I love a tall classic white cake!
To add some color I placed more flowers (can you ever really have too many flowers?) and greenery along the base of the cake.
Colorful pink and yellow cake pops (with sprinkles of course) were placed inside clear glasses with sheets of moss (like I used to make these Easter nest place setting) rolled inside to add to the natural feel.
And now for the best party…. the incredible sugar cookies!!
Teepee, deer, flower, and leaf cookies were all made by the talented Baby Gabey Cookies.
I’m in awe of her talent and all the incredible details in these cookies!
I sent her a photo of the tepee and flowers, and Leigh matched them perfectly.
She even added light gray wood grain to the cookie tepees to match my tepee!
Did you notice that the deer cookies match the deer cake toppers perfectly as well?
They are wearing the same outfits and colors, and the detail and intricacy on the deer cookies is incredible.
Laying these cookies down would not do them justice, so I stood them up inside two gold boxes on the wood slice platters next to the cake pops.
And just in case you were wondering, they taste as good as they look!
Relaxing by the Fire
As the sun slowly sank behind the hills, we started a fire.
I have been craving an outdoor fire now that the temperatures have gone up.
Relaxing by the fire at the end of the day is one of the greatest, simplest joys in life, wouldn’t you agree?
The kids loved playing and chatting in the teepee in front of the fire.
It was so fun capturing their sweet smiles and innocence!
I’m so glad we could spend a nice relaxing afternoon with our boho party and fire.
I’m already counting down the days until we pull out the tepee, flowers, and fire logs and do it all again!

Our backyard camping party would be perfect for the warmer weather!
This charcuterie board would taste amazing at a boho party (or just because)!
