Cardboard Letter Party Decoration

Who else is obsessed with cardboard letters from the craft store like I am? They come in different sizes and are such a good starting point for creative party decorations and crafts!

I recently created a cardboard letter party decoration with Fruity Pebbles. Yep, the cereal! Fruity Pebbles is so colorful, looks like confetti, and just screams FUN, so it was a natural choice for a party decoration.

Cardboard Letter Party Decoration

Supplies:

Cardboard letter
Spray paint (any color you would like)
Mod Podge
Foam brush
Fruity Pebbles Cereal

Step 1. Spray paint the front and back of your cardboard letter using light, even coats. Let dry completely.

Step 2. Cover a medium-size section of the front of the letter with Mod Podge and a foam brush.

Step 3. Sprinkle Fruity Pebbles cereal on top of the glued area so it is completely covered, then press down slightly on the cereal to make sure it’s sticking. Repeat for the rest of the top of the letter.

Step 4. Once the glue has completely dried, gently shake the letter so the excess Fruity Pebbles falls off. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any small bare areas. Let dry.

Now you’ve got a colorful, fun cardboard letter party decoration that is colorful, cheerful, and ready to party!

You can use the first letter a name, spell out a whole word, use age or birthday numbers, and more. You can throw away the decoration after the party, or you can save it and use it as a decoration for a bedroom. If you decide to keep it, be sure to spray a few coats of clear sealer over the top to protect it.
