A DIY cake topper is a really fun way to spruce up a cake for a birthday, anniversary, bridal or baby shower, and more.
Did you know that you can whip up your own DIY cake topper in about 5 minutes? Today I’m going to show you how!
DIY Cake Topper
Supplies:
- Sizzix Big Shot Machine
- Extended Cutting Pads
- Celebrate and Make A Wish Sizzlits die
- Colored paper
Instructions:
Step 1. Stack a cutting pad, the Celebrate die, the colored paper, and then another cutting pad on top.
Roll it through the Big Shot to cut the paper.
Step 2. Fold up the letters in your topper so that they are standing up.
Step 3. Place the cake topper in the cake (like in the above photo) to measure if the paper is too long or just right. If it’s a little long for your cake, just trim a little off the ends and place it in again.
Isn’t it great? A homemade DIY cake topper in 5 minutes means lees time prepping and more time partying, which is pretty much my new motto. 😉
Happy crafting!
