Thank you AXE for sponsoring this DIY Football Gift Basket for a Teenage Boy. All ideas and opinions are always 100% my own.
My son looks forward to playing football every fall when school starts. He plays hard and loves every second of football season. To get him ready for football practices and games, I made him a football gift basket that he loved!
Today I’m sharing the easy DIY football gift basket that I created for my teenage son. If you’ve got a teen who is playing sports this year, you can use some of these ideas and create your own DIY sports gift basket to get your child ready for the season. Get creative and feel free to adapt to whatever sport your child is playing.
DIY Football Gift Basket for a Teenage Boy
Supplies:
- Cooler, galvanized pail, or any other container to hold all the items
- Football
- Cones (for practicing and drills)
- Mouth Guard
- Wrist Bands
- Whistle
- AXE YOU Body Spray
- AXE Signature Gold Dry Spray
- AXE Signature Night Dry Spray
- Pom pom in school colors
- Newspaper or magazine paper
Directions:
Step 1. You’ll need some newspaper or crumpled paper to fill up your container before adding in the football items. This will keep everything higher and will make the gift basket look more full.
Step 2. Add the largest items first. The largest items for this football gift basket were the football, cones, and pom pom, so I placed them in the basket first.
Step 3. The AXE YOU Body Spray, AXE Signature Gold Dry Spray, and AXE Signature Night Dry Spray came next. I placed these in front of the cones.
My son gets SO hot and sweaty when playing football. I wanted to make sure that he smelled and felt fresh, even on the field, and I knew that the AXE products would help with that!
Step 4. The last step is to add in the smaller items between the other things in the gift basket. The mouth guard, wrist bands, whistle, and snacks all fit perfectly in between and behind everything else. I repackaged a few of the items myself to give the football gift basket a more cohesive look.
Next came the best part- giving the gift to my son! He had no idea I was giving him this, so the football gift basket totally took him by surprise!
He was thrilled with all his goodies. He was excited to use them, and loved their scents. I love that he is going to smell nice and fresh, and not like a sweaty teenage boy.
I hope you enjoyed this football gift basket tutorial. It’s a great way to show your teenager how much you love and care for them, all while getting them ready to play sports this season.
