How to Make a Personalized Ice Bucket
Step 1. Head over to get my free monogram cut file in Cricut Design Space.
Replace my monogram letters with your desired letters, then select all the letters.
Press the paperclip and the word “Attach” at the bottom right hand of the screen to attach your letters together so they stay just like you see them when the machine cuts them.
Place your Cricut Permanent Vinyl onto a Cricut mat.
Press “Make” and follow the prompts to cut out your monogram letters with your Cricut machine.
Step 2. Once your monogram is cut, press the flashing arrow button to remove the mat.
Peel away the excess vinyl from around the monogram.
Cut out a piece of Cricut Vinyl Transfer Tape and remove from its’ backing.
Place sticky side down onto the monogram and press firmly around the letters.
Step 3. Carefully peel up the transfer tape to remove the vinyl monogram.
Press the monogram and transfer tape onto your ice bucket where desired.
Press firmly to adhere the monogram, then slowly peel up the transfer paper, leaving the monogram on the bucket.
I told you it was easy!
In just a few short minutes you can transform a plain galvanized ice bucket into a personalized DIY monogram ice bucket.
I originally tried using the Cricut Premium Vinyl in frosted and gray, but the monogram was a bit lighter than I wanted.
You can see in the photograph above that this monogram is a lot more subtle, which is nice too if that’s the look you want.
I cut another monogram set using the black Cricut Premium Vinyl and the color was perfect!
I like that there was a bit more contrast between the bucket and the monogram with the black vinyl.
This customized ice bucket is fun to pull out when entertaining, and also makes a great birthday or wedding gift!
Because I used Cricut Premium Vinyl, I know that my vinyl monogram will withstand water because the adhesive formula is formulated to be water resistant.
I hope you enjoyed this DIY monograsm ice bucket tutorial!
It really couldn’t be much easier to make one.
A personalized ice bucket makes a fun birthday gift or wedding gift too!
Happy crafting!
