You can tell that it’s springtime here in California. I’ve been planting flowers, decorating with wheat grass, and adding pastels to my decor.
Today I’m excited to share with you my pretty Easter party and spring table spread that I recently put together. I also have a really fun bunny pudding cup idea for you that I think you’ll love! Let’s dig in!
When I think of spring I think of flowers and grass, so I wanted my table to include lots of pretty flowers, green, and natural elements to fit the season.
Although I love fresh flowers, I decided to go with artificial, since they will last longer and won’t wilt (it was over 90 degrees outside this weekend here! ). Lovely yellow daffodils and a pretty daffodil garland added a nice pop of color to the table and made it look more natural.
When planning a food or dessert table for a party, I always look for ways to add height to some of the items to make the table more interesting and visually appealing. I flipped over a yellow wire basket that I recently bought and used it as a stand in the middle of my table. It looked great, and gave the added height that I wanted to the middle of my table. It also brought the attention to my favorite part of the table, my fun treat idea I’m sharing with you today!
The real star of the party were my bunny pudding cups. I think they’re just the cutest little snack, and they were SO easy to make! So easy, in fact, that kids of all ages could definitely make these themselves. They are a no-fuss snack because the pudding stays in the cup- you are just adding some items to the top.
Here are the ingredients that I used and the simple directions so that you can try making your own!
Bunny Pudding Cups:
Ingredients:
- Super Snack Packs (Chocolate flavor)
- Oreo cookies
- Honey Maid Grahams (optional)
- Gummy carrots
- Marshmallow bunnies
Put some Oreos in a plastic bag, making sure to let the air out, then close the bag up. Use a rolling pin to bang on the cookies a couple of times, then roll over them until they are your desired consistency. I like mine to still be a little bit crumbly so that it looks like real soil. I also crushed some Honey Maid Grahams and mixed some of them in with the Oreo “soil” too.
Open up the Super Snack Pack (which is really easy with the new Easy Open Lids), and sprinkle the Oreo crumbs on top.
Stick a gummy carrot inside the Oreo soil so that a small portion of the orange and all of the green is poking out. Add a bunny marshmallow and press down a little bit into the pudding so he stands up.
Easy, right? These cute Easter bunny pudding cups taste SO good, and are a lot of fun to put together. They’re a perfect activity for kids to make their own, and are also easy enough for adults to make a lot of these for a class Easter or spring party for school, church, or family.
I bought my Super Snack Packs at Walmart, where they sold a few different delicious flavors.
They come in a six-pack, which I love, since there are six of use in my family, and no one wants to be left out of getting a pudding!
Here’s a look at the rest of the party table.
My natural DIY bird nest (tutorial coming soon) is filled with candy eggs. I love how it’s being used as a decoration and a serving bowl at the same time.
Little carrot-shaped containers filled with orange and green jellybeans add to the spring and garden feel of the table, especially when placed on light green Easter grass.
A pretty white birdcage is filled with decorative green spring balls, as well as a few on the side.
A natural rustic wood tiered stand is filled with mini lemon and vanilla cakes just waiting to be eaten.
