Have you ever tried making your own confetti?
You don’t have to spend countless hours punching out holes, or resort to buying the cheap stuff at the store that doesn’t match your color scheme. Today I’m going to show you how to make easy DIY Confetti!
I wanted to make confetti circles in a bunch of pretty colors and in all different-sized circles. Watch how easy this is…
First, I pulled out my trusty Big Shot die cut machine, and then the new Tim Holtz Confetti Sizzlets die.
I layered the extended multi-purpose platform on the bottom, followed by a cutting pad, the confetti die, the paper I wanted to cut, and then the other cutting pad. I rolled it all through my Big Shot, and ended up with lots of colorful confetti circles.
I repeated the process with a few different colors of paper.
Look how pretty!
To hold the confetti, I knew that the new Marisa Pawelko Mini Envelope die would be perfect! It’s tiny and cute, and is the perfect little holder for a handful of colorful confetti.
I die cut an envelope using my Big Shot, and then simply glued the two sides to assemble.
I added some confetti to the envelope, and plan on making more envelopes to hold individual portions of confetti.
I think these would be great party favors! They would also be perfect to hand out to guests at a wedding to throw in the air over the bride and groom as they leave the reception.
Wouldn’t that make for a great photo?
Happy paper cutting!
