Today I’ve got a really quick way to embellish glass apothecary jars to make film strip decorations for a Hollywood/movie party.

I used my Sizzix Big Shot and the Filmstrip Frames die to die cut some film strips out of black card stock. To do this I made a Sizzix sandwich with an extended cutting pad on the bottom, the die filmstrips die face up, the black cardstock, and the other extended cutting pad on top. I placed my “sandwich” on the multipurpose platform on tab one, and then rolled it through my Big Shot. When it came out I had these perfect little black filmstrips ready to go.
Once the dies were cut, I simply taped them around the jars for instant movie goodness! This was a very quick and easy way to add interest to the food table.
You can use this same method to create different looks for different parties. Just use a different die that goes with the theme!

Happy crafting!
