Fish tacos are a big deal here in San Diego (one of the MANY reasons I love living here), and today I’ve got a mouthwateringly delicious fish taco sauce recipe that’s so simple to make!
And when I say simple, I mean that it only contains three basic ingredients and can be made in well under 5 minutes. Seriously.
My husband and I created this fish taco sauce right before a big party we were throwing. The sauce was an absolute hit, and when we told one of our friends how we made it, he couldn’t believe the simple ingredients and how easy it was!
Easy Fish Taco Sauce Recipe
- 1/2 cup Ranch Dressing
- 3/4 cup Salsa (preferably fresh or the salsa sold in the refrigerated section of store, NOT canned)
- 1/2 lime
Step 1. Add the salsa to the ranch dressing and stir.
Step 2. Squeeze the lime juice into the mixture and stir.
And that’s it! Really, I told you this fish taco sauce was easy. You won’t believe all of the flavor that comes from those three ingredients! It’s tangy from the ranch, full of fresh flavor from the salsa, and has a bright citrus zest to it from the lime juice.
Now to make the fish tacos, I use Trident Seafoods® Wild Alaskan Pollock Burgers from Costco because they have a mild flavor (like cod) and are quick and easy to prepare. Plus, they’re naturally packed with healthy Omega-3s, which can significantly improve heart health, brain function, mental health, vision, and memory.
To assemble our fish tacos, I first baked the pollock burgers (you can also grill and pan fry them). Once they had cooled slightly, I broke the fish into pieces and placed inside warm corn tortillas.
I added some of our homemade fish taco sauce over the fish, then topped it with some shredded cabbage (you can also use shredded lettuce), chopped cilantro, and tomatoes.
Of course I added more fish taco sauce to the top too. You really can’t have enough of this amazing sauce, trust me!
Now it’s time to dig in. The fish flavor mixed with the tangy fish taco sauce and fresh ingredients is so irresistible and mouth-wateringly delicious.
You can do SO many things with the Wild Alaskan Pollock Burgers. You can swap out your high-fat hamburger for a pollock burger, eat it in fish tacos, salads, and more. I love how versatile they are and how easy they are to make.
