Is your team headed to the big football game coming soon? Do you love to get together with friends to watch football? Today I’ve got some awesome football party ideas that are just perfect for your next football viewing party!
I’m also sharing a recipe for buffalo chicken pizza bites that I think you’ll love. I can’t wait to share it all with you!
FOOTBALL PARTY DECORATIONS
First of all, you can’t have a football party without a great looking table, right? I covered my table with a green football field table cover and pushed it up against the wall. Brick paneling made the perfect background for the party!
I spelled out the word “football” with white mat board letters, then taped them up to the bricks. I love how simple they are but how they add a lot to the table.
I used a wood crate for height in the center of the table, but spray painted it black so that it matched the party better.
Paper chain pieces that were supposed to be taped into a long chain decoration were perfect as drink bottle decor. Each root beer bottle was wrapped with a colorful strip of paper and taped on so that it all matched the football theme. Such a fun addition to the party, and so easy to make!
FOOTBALL PARTY FOOD
For this football party I decided to go with the standard football party food that everyone loves! I found lots of Farm Rich products that were perfect for out party. They have lots of yummy snacks and appetizers that are made with real ingredients, taste great, and are quick and easy to prepare, so you can spend more time cheering and less time cooking… Score!
Farm Rich Buffalo Chicken Bites, Mozzarella Sticks, Meatballs, and Jalapeno Peppers all looked and tasted great on our table, and were easily found at my local Walmart.
I stacked all of the football finger food on some classic white rectangular platters, then added some football-themed food flags.
Behind the appetizers were small stacked clear plastic containers that I filled with 4 different dips and sauces for convenience. This way no one has to waste time scooping- they just have to grab a cute container! Salsa, queso blanco, ranch dip, and cheese dip were all the perfect sauces to dip and dunk our food in.
Clear plastic cups were filled with cut celery sticks and crunchy carrots, and placed behind the sauces. Behind those were adorable large football treat bags filled with salted peanuts in the shell.
In front of the black crate were a few of the same football bags, this time filled with large crunchy pretzels, great to snack on during the big game!
On top of the black crate were cute football field cups filled with Buffalo Chicken Bites, as well as more root beer lined up behind them.
We loved the Buffalo Chicken Bites so much that I used them to create some delicious buffalo chicken pizza bites. These were a cinch to make, and were a fun and unique way to eat buffalo chicken. Here’s how to make some of your own…
BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA BITES
- 1 package Farm Rich Buffalo Chicken Bites
- 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
- Ranch dressing
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
Step 1. Bake the chicken bites according to the directions on the package. Remove from the oven, then add the buffalo sauce to the chicken.
Step 2. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough so that it is even and thin. Use a pizza slicer to slice the dough into 24 rectangles. Spread some ranch dressing onto each square, then add a chicken bite to the middle of each rectangle. I cut some of the larger pieces of chicken in half so that I had enough pieces and so they fit well onto the dough.
Step 3. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese onto each square. Bring up the edges of the dough, then pinch them together. Turn each piece over so that the pinched part is on the bottom, then place in a greased baking dish.
Step 4. Brush the melted butter over the tops of the pizza bites, then place in a 450 degree oven (or whatever temperature your dough packaging says to use). Place in oven and bake until the tops are a light golden brown, which took about 17 minutes for mine. Remove from the oven and let cool a bit before you try one.
These buffalo pizza chicken bites taste like buffalo chicken dipped in ranch with a bite of a soft warm bread stick. They’re amazing!!
I hope I’ve inspired with these football party ideas to throw a football party for the big game! It’s not hard to create a fun football table filled with delicious food for your family and friends.
