Today I’m very excited to be part of an awesome red, white, and blue blog hop, just in time for the Fourth of July! Get ready to be inspired by many of your favorite bloggers and check out all of their creative ideas.
To get ready for the Fourth, I made some fun Fourth of July Chocolate Truffle Spoons that are absolutely delicious!
I mixed up some decadent chocolate ganache, rolled the ganache into balls and placed on spoons, then dipped them in chocolate and added patriotic sprinkles. SO easy and yummy!!
Just follow these easy directions to make your own…
Chocolate Truffle Spoons:
- 1/4 cup Heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Good quality chocolate chips
- Red, white, and blue chocolate melts
- Sprinkles and edible star sprinkles in red, white, and blue
Place the chocolate chips in a medium bowl and set aside. Pour the heavy cream into a small saucepan, and heat until it simmers. Remove from heat, pour over the chocolate chips, and wait about 5 minutes for the chocolate to soften. Stir until thoroughly melted. Place the ganache in the fridge for a few hours to firm it up.
Once firm, roll a small amount into a ball with your hands and press into a spoon. Melt the desired color of chocolate melts according to the directions on the package, and dip the spoon into the chocolate so that all of the chocolate truffle portion is covered.
Carefully tap off the excess chocolate, and place on wax paper. Sprinkle on some red, white, and/or blue sprinkles, and let cool. Repeat for as many chocolate truffle spoons as you would like to make.
Once you have finished your spoons, you can either serve them as is, or package them up nice and neat in a small plastic sucker bag tied at the bottom with ribbon or string.
I love how these turned out!
These chocolate truffle spoons are rich, decadent, delicious, and ready for the 4th of July!
