I’m so excited to share with you an incredible Halloween punch that is sure to impress your guests! This is one of the easiest Halloween punch recipes, and this Halloween drink gets its’ creepiness from a glow in the dark floating hand inside the punch.
This Halloween punch for kids and adults alike definitely has the “wow” factor, but without a lot of mess and fuss!
It comes together VERY quickly and easily. Even the kids can help with this Halloween punch recipe!
Curious about the “secret” ingredient? It’s tonic water!
Tonic water has quinine in it, and quinine glows in the dark. Keep reading to see how to make your own glowing Halloween drink!
Glow in the Dark Floating Hand Halloween Punch
Ingredients:
- 2 2-Liters Fanta Orange
- 1 2-Liter Fanta Pineapple
- Water
- Tonic water
- Disposable gloves (powder-free)
- Black light
Directions:
Step 1. Flatten and dilute the tonic water.
I didn’t want a major mess in my freezer, so I opened up my tonic water, put the lid back on, and shook it up a bit. I slowly let the air release by opening up the lid again, and repeating the process to get the soda flat.
Fill a disposable glove about halfway with the flat tonic water, then add some water to the glove to dilute the tonic water. Tonic water is pretty bitter, so diluting it a bit will take away some of the bitterness.
Fill up the rest of the glove with flat tonic water, release any excess air, and tie a knot at the top of the glove.
Repeat step 1 for as many hands as you would like floating in the Halloween punch.
It’s nice to have some backup frozen hands for when the first ones melt. That way you can keep refilling the punch bowl so it stays glowing and spooky!
Step 2. Fill a punch bowl with Fanta Orange and Fanta Pineapple. I used a 2:1 ratio of orange soda to pineapple.
Step 3. After a few hours when the hands are frozen, cut off the glove with scissors, being careful not to break off any fingers. Place the hands back in the freezer.
When you’re ready to serve, just add the frozen hands to the Halloween punch recipe and serve under a black light.
Everyone will be very impressed with your glow in the dark drink-making skills! You don’t have to tell them how easy this Halloween punch was to make… it’ll be our little secret. 😉
