I’m thrilled to be posting my very first Halloween craft of the season! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I love getting crafty and creating spooky decorations and treats.
These Halloween headstone treat boxes that I’m sharing with you today take less than 15 minutes to make, and are the perfect holder for scary sweets for friends or to serve at a Halloween party. So fun!!
Halloween Headstone Treat Boxes:
- Sizzix Big Shot Machine
- Headstone Movers and Shapers Die
- Movers and Shapers Mini Spider and 31
- Cutting Pads
- Black mat board
- Glue gun
- Small treats in a cellophane bag
Step 1. Take the Headstone die and add inside the Movers and Shapers 31 die. Make a Sizzix sandwich to prepare the materials for die cutting by stacking a cutting pad, the Headstone die face up, the black mat board, and another cutting pad. Roll it all through the Big Shot machine. Repeat, this time using just the Headstone die without the 31 in it (for the back of the treat box).
Step 2. Cut a strip of black mat board the same width as the depth that you would like your treat box to be. Bend the two ends of the strip so that it forms a box at the bottom of your headstones.
Step 3. Use a glue gun to add a strip of glue to the edge of the folded strip, then press it down onto the back of the spider headstone. Repeat for the back of the strip and the back headstone.
Step 4. Now you have a cute finished Halloween headstone treat box! Fill up a small cellophane or plastic treat bag with treats, and add to the inside of the box.
I hope you enjoyed this fun and quick treat box! I can’t wait to make more of these for Halloween goodies to pass out to friends.
