In this summer heat I’ve been getting SO thirsty. As much as I love cold water, sometimes I want a drink with flavor, but without all the calories of a sugary drink.
Today I’ve got the perfect healthy drink solution for those of us who are trying to stay hydrated, but want another healthy choice with a bit more flavor than water.
How good does a no-calorie, no-sugar, all-natural healthy lemonade sound? Too good to be true? Nope!
You’re going to love today’s delicious healthy lemonade recipe! It’s so easy to make a batch of this healthy lemonade that your family will love, and you won’t have any guilt over drinking a tall glass of it.
Healthy Lemonade Recipe:
- 2-3 Lemons
- 1 tsp. Liquid Stevia
- Cold water
- Ice
First you’ll need to juice the lemons using your preferred method. I like to use a lemon squeezer and squeeze the lemons into a small bowl. That way it’s easy to remove any small seeds that might fall into the juice before they go into the pitcher. Then I add the juice to the pitcher.
Next I fill the pitcher with cold water, leaving a few inches at the top. I used a standard size pitcher.
Now here comes the ingredient that gives the lemonade its’ sweetness but without the calories that sugar has- liquid stevia!
Liquid stevia is pretty amazing. It’s very concentrated and sweet, so a small amount goes a long way. It’s calorie free, sugar-free, all natural, and is a great option for diabetics, since it doesn’t raise your blood sugar.
For a pitcher of lemonade, I like to add about 1 tsp. of liquid stevia. That’s all you need to sweeten the entire pitcher of lemonade.
Stir up all the ingredients and serve the lemonade over ice. Enjoy!
You can always add more or less stevia or lemon to taste. If you like your lemonade a bit more sour, then add more lemon. Like a sweeter lemonade? Then adda bit more stevia. Easy!
