It’s hard to believe that it’s time to talk New Years already, but in a few short weeks it will be the start of a brand new year! Want to have a fabulous New Years Eve party, but dreading all the time and effort that goes into planning a party? Then today’s post is for you!
I’ll be sharing New Years Eve party ideas with you that look amazing and will impress, but are really simple to put together.
I used the cutest New Years Eve party supplies from the Martha Stewart Celebrations line, found exclusively at Michaels.
The supplies are available in 10 different party themes that include garlands, table runners, paper goods, and so much more!
New Years Eve Party Ideas
To keep things compact and easy to style, I used my favorite gold bar cart as a base for my New Years Eve party. It matched perfectly with my gold, black, and white color scheme.
Because I have five kids who like to stay up to watch the ball drop, I wanted this to be a kids New Years Eve party too. I bought mini glass bottles of sparkling apple cider that are just the cutest, and perfect for the kiddos!
Customized Bottles of Sparkling Apple Cider
To make the bottles “pop,” I made sparkly gold bottle wrappers to cover the label. Each one says “Happy New Year” and was cut with my Cricut® Explore Air 2™ Special Edition Martha Stewart Bundle. It cuts and writes up to 2x faster than previous Cricut Explore models and can cut over 100 different materials!
It comes in a beautiful pearl color with gold accents, and even comes with a matching tool set. I LOVE my machine!

I used Cricut Gold Glitter Cardstock for that extra sparkle and shimmer that matches the party supplies perfectly. Just cut the bottle wrap using the above cut file, then attach each label to the front of your mini sparkling cider bottle. I used a low temp glue gun to attach mine and it worked great.
A mini gold pail made the perfect little ice bucket for one of our mini sparkling cider bottles. Isn’t it adorable?!
Plastic gold glitter champagne flute glasses are perfect for letting the kids feel fancy without the chance of broken glass. Inside each glass was a straw with black polka dots and a gold cheers tag.
New Years Party Decorations
I love the scalloped paper banner set but wanted to use it in a different way. I pulled all the scalloped banners and gold tassels off the baker’s twine it came on, then taped two of them to the bottom of the shelf bases on the cart.
I added a shiny gold tassel to each side of the bar cart with some tape, which gave it some extra sparkle.
One of the most FUN parts of our New Years Eve party is the ultra cool gold fringe chandelier. The fringes reflect so much light and are a great centerpiece for the New Years Eve bar cart. Plus, it’s such a unique conversation piece too!
Matching plates in two different sizes and matching dinner and cocktail napkins were one the second shelf of the New Years bar cart, just waiting to be used.
DIY New Years Eve Party Hats
On the third row sit a matching tray with darling gold glitter party hats on it. Each party hat was made very easily with my Martha Cricut machine!

Cut the hat using the above cut file. Assemble the hat by using hot glue to turn the paper into a sparkly gold party hat.
I used some of my leftover gold tassels from decorating the bar cart for fluffy little hat tops.
Just insert the tassel into the top of the hat through the small hole, then use scissors to trim the long fringe so that it looks like the top of a party hat.
Ta da! So much New Years Eve cuteness. Make one hat for each guest to wear when the clock strikes 12!
See how easy it is to create a beautiful New Years party with just a few supplies? You’ve totally got this.
Cheers to a new year!
