Today I’m sharing a quick and easy ocean box I made with some of my new nautical Sizzix dies. The box die is so sweet and would be perfect for a nautical or under the sea birthday party!
For this ocean box, I used Sharyn Sowell’s new Sizzix Box w/Wave Border Bigz XL Die and Seaweed, Coral & Wave Thinlits Die Set.
First I made a Sizzix sandwich by stacking an Extended Cutting Pad, the Box w/Wave Border die face up, my pattern paper face down, and the other extended cutting pad on top. I rolled it all through my Sizzix Big Shot Machine, and out came the box pice, read to be folded!
I love that this die is just one big continuous piece. It makes it easy so easy to fold and assemble, especially if you are making a lot of these for a party.
I die cut a few coral pieces from the Seaweed, Coral & Wave die set, and added them to the top underneath some tied Baker’s twine.
I wish I had an ocean party planned so I could use these cute ocean boxes for it! Maybe I should start planning?
Although I’m not sure I could top the under the sea party I did for my daughter a few years ago. It’s one of my favorites!
I even made some yummy edible sea glass that everyone loved.
These paper lantern jellyfish were a hit too, and were so easy to make!
