Happy Monday! I’ve been really busy these past couple weeks getting projects ready for a new Sizzix Party Ideas book that is coming out soon. I’ve got a handful of fun party project ideas that are going to be published in the book, so I’ve been up to my eyeballs in planning and creating for this amazing opportunity.
Today I’m sharing one of the party favor ideas that I’m sharing in the upcoming book- a pretty cookie pocket diy! These adorable cookie pockets would be just perfect to pretty up some cookies for a tea party or any type of girls’ party. They are a breeze to make, and you could make a large number of these for a party pretty quickly.
To make these cookie pockets, you’ll need a Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine, along with the Cookie Pocket die and the Bow-Tied die.
I made a Sizzix sandwich with a mint cutting pad on the bottom, the cookie pocket die face up, my floral papers facing down, and another mint cutting pad on top. I die cut two of the pockets from two different pretty floral papers, and simply folded and and glued them to assemble.
Next I die cut two of the small bows from the Bow Tied bow out of pink and yellow paper, and glued them to the front middle of each cookie pocket.
Lastly, I cut two pieces from a medium-sized doily, and glue them to the inside of the pocket to add a little lace detail.
I’m thinking I need to put together another tea party to showcase these. I’ll take any excuse to throw a party! For some fun tea party ideas, you can check out my first Downton Abbey tea party and my second Downton Abbey tea party– my favorites!
