One of my family’s must have favorite recipes that I make is focaccia bread.
I recently made a tasty variation of my standard recipe to create this delicious rosemary parmesan focaccia that we all loved! I made two seperate batches, and they both disappeared very quickly!
I wanted to share the easy recipe with you today, and maybe it will become one of your family favorites too! This recipe makes one large round of focaccia bread.
Rosemary Parmesan Focaccia
Ingredients:
1 cup very warm water
2 1/4 tsp. yeast
2 1/2 cups flour
2 Tbsp. olive oil (or vegetable oil)
1/2 tsp. salt
Olive oil (for drizzling)
Few sprigs of rosemary, chopped
Dash kosher salt
1/4 cup KRAFT Paremesan Cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Sprinkle the yeast into the warm water in the bowl of a stand up mixer. My Kitchen Aid works perfectly for this! Sprinkle a dash of sugar over the yeast and water and let sit for 10 minutes.
2. After 10 minutes, stir the yeast mixture with a spoon. Add the flour, oil, and salt, and mix in your mixer on low. Once the flour is mixed in, turn the mixer on medium-high, and mix for about 5 minutes. At this point you can cover the dough and let it rise a bit, but in all honesty, I never do! I am usually in a hurry, so I don’t wait, and it comes out really good every time.
3. Roll the dough out into a round shape, or press by hand. Use your finger to push small holes into the dough to prevent air bubbles. Drizzle olive oil over the top, sprinkle on the chopped rosemary, a dash of kosher salt, and the KRAFT Parmesan Cheese.
I bought my cheese at Vons (my local Safeway store), where they have a new KRAFT #standupcheese packaging. The new packaging still has 2 cups of delicious cheese, but uses less packaging than before. It’s so easy to pour the cheese out of the new package!
Bake for about 10 minutes. Let cool slightly before cutting.
This rosemary parmesan focaccia tastes so good warm and fresh out of the oven! I love how easy and quick it is to make, too. You can create your own variations of this yummy focaccia, and soon you’ll be making it weekly like me!
To make this bread part of our meal, I also grilled some boneless skinless chicken breasts, made some garlic herb cous cous, and added a delicious green salad complete with kale, romaine, green leaf lettuce, candied pecans (yum), yellow tomatoes, strawberries, and a balsamic vinegarette. It was all so delicious!!
My salad and chicken got a little jealous of the cheesy bread, so I topped them with some parmesan cheese, too!
Happy eating!
