With four kids, back to school shopping can get very expensive VERY quickly.
I love scoring a great deal, so today I’m sharing some of my best tips for how to save more and spend less school shopping for your kids!
How to Spend Less School Shopping for Your Kids
Tip #1 Get Organized
Before you start back to school shopping, get organized!
Now is a great time to go through your kids’ closets and drawers and give away any clothes that are too small, too worn, or stained.
Now make a mental note of what your child can still wear next school year, and what they still need.
Be on the lookout for those items when school shopping so you are only buying what each child needs.
Tip #2 Shop at the Right Time of the Year
There are certain times of the year when clothing goes on sale to get ready for the next season.
This generally happens at the end of each clothing season around the end of March/beginning of April, the end of June/beginning of July, the end of September/ beginning of October, and then end of December/beginning of January.
This is a great time to stock up on essentials.
Sometimes I even buy bathing suits, jackets, etc. and save them for the next year because I can score such great deals!
Tip #3 Wait for Big Annual Sales
Some stores have big sales at certain times each year where you can save lots of money!
I just stocked up on lots of cute clothing and shoes for my kids from Kohl’s.
We found so many cute clothes that they love!
Tip #4 Always Use a Coupon Code
When shopping online, make sure you use a discount code when checking out to spend less school shopping.
Many times you can find a coupon code right on the site you are shopping on.
You can also search online for coupon codes to save extra money when shopping online.
It’s a very simple way to spend less on school clothes for your kids.
My kids are thrilled because they’re getting the shoes they want, and I’m thrilled because I’m buying then at the prices I want. It’s a win-win!
So what are your best tips for how to spend less school shopping?
Happy shopping!
