My kids have been out of school for a week now and we are SO excited for summer! I put together a fun summer boho chic party to celebrate summer vacation and to kick off our relaxing summer days.
I’m SO excited to share all of the fun details with you today!
I based the entire party on a printable party suite that Modify Ink offers called Boho Dreams. Modify Ink is an amazing website that has beautiful prints and party suites available, but the fun part is that every piece of art is customizable by you!
You can change the colors, textures, patterns, words, etc. on the artwork to make it your own masterpiece. I think this concept is brilliant!
I wanted a light summer party with different shades of blue and green, so I customized my invitations, banners, paper flags, large and small circle labels, place cards, and table signs all in those colors with a white background to keep it light and airy. I added little touches of gold, as well as different nature elements, to make give this summer boho chic party a bohemian, natural look.
Since the Boho Dreams party printables had arrows and feathers, I incorporated arrows and feathers in my party as well.
I covered the party table with a runner and place mats that were made from sticks. I love the rustic bohemian vibe it added to the party.
The party was for my kids, so I wanted to make sure I had some healthy food choices, along with a few treats. I put together a simple crackers and cheese plate on one of my favorite wood slice serving platters.
Another wood slice was filled with fresh strawberries and grapes. I created a few printable signs for the food, and found the perfect frames to fit them in! The colors matched perfectly, and though it’s hard to tell in the photos, the frame edges are a beautiful gold that matched the other gold elements of the party. So pretty!
In the background you can see part of the DIY gold dipped vases that I shared a few months ago. Love that little touch of gold.
Chocolate dipped pretzels were a fun addition to our summer boho chic party, and are so easy to make and customize. Simply dip your favorite pretzels halfway into colored chocolate melts, tap off the excess chocolate, then add any sprinkles or drizzle another color of chocolate over the top. The kids loved these!
Small turquoise treat cups were filled with yellow and lime green gummy worms. Yes, I am guilty of very carefully picking out the colors that I wanted with the scoop in the candy bin. 😉 I glued the cute paper flags that I modified on Modify Ink, and stuck them in the middle of each cup.
Did you notice the cute arrow frame in the background? That was another great score I found that matched the colors and style of the party perfectly! I added another Modify Ink sign to the frame and placed it near the treats.
I filled up some of my apothecary jars (another one of my favorite party staples) with lemon drops, green apple candy, and key lime marshmallows.
The Modify Ink large sticker labels that I added to each jar were perfect, and added more of the bohemian element to the party, as well as tied in those light, airy colors that I used throughout.
The edible tepees were fun to make and customize too! I love the bits of blue and green from the sprinkles at the bottom of each one, as well as the tiny pretzel sticks at the top.
I served a pretty blue drink in my glass mik bottles, and added the feather sticker labels from Modify Ink.
To add more of the Bohemian element to the bottles, and to match the labels, I added two feathers to each one by tying Baker’s twine to the top of each bottle. I love how these turned out!
I added the cute paper flags from Modify Ink to the top of each striped straw. I love the additional color and pattern this gave to each glass.
I filled some small treat bags with a few pieces of salt water taffy, then added folded over the place cards I modified on Modify Ink to make treat toppers. I used the cutest mini clothespins to attach each treat bag to a big white rustic frame with chicken wire on the inside.
I added colored mini doilies to the background as well. I added the cute mini bunting from Modify Ink in my party colors to the top corner of the frame, along with a few more feathers. One can never have too many feathers, right?
This hanging treat frame was a lot of fun to put together, and I think it turned out beautifully!
I found this pretty gold arrow candle holder that I knew I wanted for the party, but it was a candle holder, so I wasn’t sure how I would use it, until I realized that I could turn it upside down and display it that was instead! The arrows matched the arrows in my party perfectly!
Our summer boho chic party was a huge success, and it I love how it all came together. The Boho Dreams party suite from Modify Ink was the perfect starting point for my party, and gave me the vision to plan the rest of the elements of our bohemian bash.
Be sure to check out Modify Ink and their adorable party suites if you’re planning a party. They have some very cool designs!
