Supplies You’ll Need
- Tin cans or other similar containers that have been washed clean (our soup cans worked just perfectly!)- one per person
- Printed Duck Tape®- Wood Grain
- Duck Glitter® Crafting Tape – Gold
- White card stock
- Scissors
- Fresh flowers
- Twigs or sticks (mine were collected from my backyard)
- Gold or black pen or marker
Creating the Wood Grain Holder
First, press a piece of the Printed Duck Tape®- Wood Grain across the top of the long side of a piece of white card stock.
Add two more strips directly underneath so they are just touching the strip above.
Place a clean and dry tin can (or other container that you choose) next to the paper with the wood grain on it.
Measure how tall the can is, then cut the paper with scissors across the grain.
Wrap the paper all the way around the can, then use tape to attach it.
Repeat for as many place card holders as you need.
Making the Gold Glitter Place Cards
Use scissors to cut white card stock into individual place cards.
Place a piece of Duck Glitter® Crafting Tape- Gold across the top of the place card, so that half of it is on the paper and the other half off the top of the paper.
Fold the top portion of the tape down onto the back of the card holder, then trim the sides with scissors.
Repeat for as many place cards as you need.
Use a gold or black pen or marker to write down the names, one on each card.
Attach each card to a thin stick or twig with a piece of tape on the back.
Finishing Up
To finish up the holders, add a few inches of water to the bottom of each can.
Arrange trimmed fresh flowers inside each tin can so they look nice and full.
You can buy a larger arrangement or two, then divide it up into all of the cans.
Be sure to remove any leaves that are below the top of the can so that the water stays nice and fresh.
Place the card holders on sticks into the centers of the arrangements so they are standing straight up.
