Birthdays are a big deal at our house, so when my husband recently had his birthday I just had to throw him a delicious party.
A waffle bar party is a great way to bring the waffle bar experience home!
It was the perfect theme for my waffle-loving husband and kiddos, who were more than happy to get creative and make all sorts of tasty waffle creations.
Today I’m sharing our waffle bar party, waffle bar ingredients you definitely should try, and FREE printables for your waffle party!
Waffle Bar Party Details
To set up for the party, I filled up a big silver mylar “party” balloon and hung it above the table.
I love how well the silver matches the galvanized trays and drink dispenser.
I filled up a ceramic french fry holder with colorful wooden silverware and long wood sticks to hold everyone’s waffle creations together.
Aren’t those colors fun?!
I wanted there to be lots of topping choices for our waffle bar party, so I went to the store and stocked up on food.
I stacked the waffles on a galvanized three-tier tray and put them at the center of the table.
Chicken tenders and sausage went on the top-tier for a tasty sandwich idea I shared below.
I wanted a mixture of sweet and savory waffle bar toppings and food.
Most of the toppings I put into large colorful paper cups and then added some cute printable labels to each one.
The sweet toppings included:
- Fresh blueberries
- Fresh bananas
- Frozen sliced strawberries
- Sprinkles
- Cookie crumbles
- Vanilla ice cream
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla Greek yogurt
- Chocolate syrup
- Whipped cream
The savory toppings included:
- Chicken tenders
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sausage links
- Granola
I added some hot water and packets of hot cocoa together.
The hot cocoa was poured into the big galvanized drink dispenser to enjoy with the hot waffles.
Waffle Bar Creations
There are sooo many different options when it comes to creating your waffle masterpiece. Let your imagination guide you!
Here are a few yummy combinations I came up with to try.
One is sweet, one is savory, and one is a lighter option.
Cookie Monster Sundae
I like to call this deliciousness the cookie monster sundae.
Eggo Homestyle waffles, long banana slices, scoops of vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, crumbled cookies, Reddi-wip, and sprinkles all come together to make a delicious dessert waffle creation.
YUM!
Fruit and Yogurt Waffle Parfait
This pretty waffle creation is much lighter than the first and features long cut waffle slices on the bottom, vanilla Greek yogurt, frozen sliced strawberries, fresh blueberries, and some granola sprinkles on top.
Enjoy this lighter creation any time of day!
Chicken and Sausage Waffle Sandwich
For this savory waffle creation, I sliced two waffles in half, then placed a chicken tender and a sausage link on two of the halves.
Drizzle on some maple syrup then add the top halves for a delicious and hearty sandwich!
I used two cute wood sticks to hold the sandwiches together.
Love how the colors on top match the colors in the paper waffle trays.
