Washi Tape Clothespins Tutorial

I have a slight obsession with washi tape… maybe it’s all of the bright colors that it comes in? Or the fun patterns? Maybe it’s the huge variety? Or the way I can easily transform a dull, boring piece of paper with a small little strip of this amazing stuff?! How about all of the above?!

And here’s one of my favorite, super easy things to do with washi tape…..

Do you have about 45 seconds? Great, then you have enough time to make washi tape clothespins!!

You can even add a magnet to turn them into magnetic clothespins. These decorative clothespins have so many uses- for holding your papers together, hanging on a chalkboard (after a magnet is added), holding up photos, a cute chip clip, a decorative way to close an envelope, a fun way to hold a card to a gift… the list goes on and on!

And here are the super simple directions…..

If you want to turn these into magnets, just cut a piece off of an adhesive magnet strip, peel off the paper backing, and stick it on! Instant magnet.

Oh, the possibilities…… so many pretty colors and patterns, what will you create?

These also make cute little gifts- just package up a set, or use as a fun little extra to close up a gift, or to attach the card. Be creative!

Have you seen those giant clothespins they were selling at Michaels? I added two strips of washi tape to each side to pretty them up a bit…. love their new look!!

I have a couple of these next to my mac in my computer armoire to hold my little lists, notes, etc. I’ve always got at least 3 lists going at any given time.

Love this floral tape. For those not familiar with washi tape, you’re probably wondering where you can buy this amazing stuff, right?

Up until recently, I’ve always ordered mine from etsy shops, but now you can actually find washi tape at Michaels.

They have quite a few colors, and my favorite, the adorable white tape with the black cameras on it.

Besides being busy this weekend with Easter, I was working on making hundreds of these little pink darlings… I’ll share the why with you soon when I can show you the finished product! I’m really excited about this, and hope that it all turns out like I am envisioning it in my head. Any guesses?
