Can you believe it’s already March? Easter will be here before we know it! Today I have a darling Easter bunny paper lantern DIY to share with you.
A bunny paper lantern (or a whole herd of them) make the cutest decorations for Easter, and would look amazing hung for an Easter egg hunt, Easter dinner, or for decorating Easter eggs.
The best part? You can whip up one of these cute Easter bunny paper lanterns in under 5 minutes!
Let’s get started…
Easter Bunny Paper Lantern
Supplies:
- White paper lantern
- White, pink, and black paper
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Sizzix Big Shot (optional)
- Sizzix Circles Framelits die set (optional)
Step 1. Cut two circles out of the black paper for eyes. Cut a smaller triangle shape and a long very thin rectangle for the nose and the mouth. Use a glue gun or glue to glue them onto the white paper lantern.
Step 2. I used my Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine to cut perfect cheek circles. If you don’t have a Big Shot, you can also cut the cheeks out yourself.
To cut with the Big Shot, make a Sizzix sandwich with a magnetic platform, a cutting pad, pink paper, a circle die, and the other cutting pad on top. Roll it all through the Big Shot machine, then glue the pink cheek circles onto the paper lantern.
Step 3. Cut two long ears out of thick white paper, then the smaller pink insides of the ears. Glue together, then glue onto the bunny paper lantern by folding the bottom inch of each ear backwards and gluing the folded part down.
Pretty simple, right? Isn’t he just darling?
An Easter bunny paper lantern (or two or three or four) is a great way to decorate for Easter. This would be a great craft to do with the kids too!
