Indulge your last buds with this healthy broccoli salad that only feels guilty, but is much healthier than the regular version!
One of my favorite treats at a restaurant I love is a delicious broccoli salad that tastes amazing, but is loaded with fat.
I wanted to be able to eat this broccoli salad with bacon at home, so I tried making my own lighter version!

How to Make Broccoli Salad Healthy?
My broccoli salad with bacon tastes great, but is still healthy!
How?
First, I substituted turkey bacon for full-fat bacon.
Next, I swapped protein filled Greek yogurt for fatty mayonnaise.
It’s a much better option, and I have ZERO guilt about eating it. Score!

Broccoli Salad Ingredients
- cut broccoli (about 2 small heads)
- turkey bacon
- Greek yogurt
- chopped red onions
- chopped cashews
- apple cider vinegar
- sugar (or sugar substitute)
Cook the Bacon (the easy way!)
Place the 10 strips of turkey bacon onto a baking sheet covered with foil.
Place the pan directly into the cold oven, then cook the bacon slowly in the oven.
This is why you don’t need preheat the oven.
Remove the bacon from the oven once cooked, then let cool.
Crumble the bacon into small pieces.
Mix Up the Healthy Broccoli Salad
Combine the Greek yogurt, the apple cider vinegar, and the sugar or sugar substitute.
Use the rest of your Greek yogurt to make grilled chicken shish kabobs or a refreshing berry smoothie!
Add the broccoli, the turkey bacon, the onions, and the cashews to the dressing.
Mix thoroughly.
Refrigerate, then serve and enjoy!
I love that this healthy broccoli salad still feels indulgent, but is a healthier and lighter option than the traditional broccoli salad.
Turkey bacon also has 65% less fat than pork bacon, so it’s a great substitute!
Because of the great flavor, I’m not sacrificing taste.
Just fat and calories, which is totally fine with me.
Enjoy!
