These sweet and simple Easter bunny jars are SO cute that no one will believe they’re made from baby food jars. They’re petite, durable, and FREE if you have a baby (or a friend with a baby)!
With a little creativity, these Easter bunny jars can be used as Easter decorations, filled up with treats to give away, or even as a special surprise for everyone at the Easter table. These cute little Easter bunny jars are sure to make someone smile!
Painted Easter Bunny Jars
Supplies:
- baby food jars
(I used a few different sizes) - white spray paint
- acrylic paint
- small paintbrush
- small piece of white felt
- fabric scissors
- glue gun
(I used a few different sizes)
Step 1. Spray the outside of each jar with white spray paint. Spray multiple layers of thin, even coats for the best coverage and to avoid drips.
I sprayed these right side up on some newspaper with the lids left on, since I didn’t want any paint going inside the jars (paint + food = big no no). Let dry between coats, and then let the jars dry thoroughly before the next step.
Step 2. Using a small paintbrush and a little black paint to paint two tiny eyes, a little triangle nose, and a small line going straight down from the nose. Paint two small pink circles for rosy cheeks.
Step 3. Cut out two ears for each bunny jar from the white felt. Use a glue gun to carefully add a thick line of glue on the top center of the jar, and stick the ears right down in the glue and let cool. This makes those cute little bunny ears!
